This book is fantastic--loaded with amazing facts about the human body. I particularly liked the chapter about the ear, an organ that reaches auditory perfection in several ways. The book is well organized, nicely illustrated with photos and diagrams, and loaded with interesting details. There's no index but the book is short enough to find what's needed.

Dr. Gitt is a gifted and experienced scientist and writer in Germany. The back cover states, "This book is not aimed at any special group of readers, but at everyone capable of fascination and wonder, and interested in the discovery of new things." Since we all have a human body and some curiosity, doesn't that include us all?

Anyone reading about all the marvels in the human body must ask, how did these wonders come about? Unlike books that leave these questions to some unspecified designer, Dr. Gitt rightly points to the only Creator capable of this level of perfection: the Lord Jesus Christ. Christians reading this book will be led to worship the Lord with increased appreciation. Non-Christians can learn much about the body, and gain a well-stated opportunity to pursue the "logical conclusions" Dr. Gitt draws about human origins and destiny.
